Beautiful color illustrations abound in this series. Each book contains various details about the animals, such as what they eat, where they live, and how they care for their young. The information is presented simply with double-page spreads and minimal text. While the photographs are striking, the text does not offer anything new on these animals. One unique addition is the glossary at the front of each book, before the text. These are beautiful books with good information, but skip them if you already have other titles on these animals.
