Edwin Hubble
Edwin Hubble is the man who discovered that our galaxy, the Milky Way, is just one of many galaxies in the universe. He also discovered that the universe was expanding. The author provides both a look at the astronomical discoveries of Hubble and something of his personal life. In addition to its biographical aspect, the book provides a chronology of Hubbles life and offers a glossary, suggestions for further reading, and Internet addresses of interest. The volume is also well indexed.
