Analyzing the Issues

Age Level: 12–17  Grade Level: 7–12

This new series addresses controversial issues in contemporary society. Each title explores a specific topic by juxtaposing expert opinions in a pro/con format. These articles and excerpts are selected from a range of sources and present both mainstream and alternative perspectives. Analyzing the Issues objectively exposes readers to a wide variety of views on a controversial topic to promote critical thinking about and analysis of topics that directly affect their lives and the larger society around them.
